How do I sign up for SeedUps?

You can register an account as a Startup or an Investor from the homepage at SeedUps. Ensure that you have selected the correct profile from at the top of the screen and follow the instructions.

If you are a Startup, please ensure that you have read, understood and agreed to the User Agreement and Privacy Statement

If you are an Investor you will be asked to confirm if you are a High Net Worth Individual or a Sophisticated Investor.

After you complete the initial sign up form, we will send you a confirmation e-mail, click on the link to complete your registration.

Does it cost money to use SeedUps?

It does not cost anything to sign up to SeedUps as an Investor or as a Startup. There is a fee on completion of any deals conducted through SeedUps.

If you choose to use SeedUps from a mobile device, please note that you will be responsible for any fees associated with internet usage as determined by your mobile provider.

Why am I getting a SeedUps invitation e-mail from a friend?

As an Investor, someone in the SeedUps network has identified you as a High Net-worth Individual or a Sophisticated Investor who has made investments like this before. They are inviting you to join their network and may have found an investment opportunity they feel would be of interest to you.

If you would prefer not to receive e-mails from SeedUps in the future, please send an email to support@seedups.com asking to be added to the Stop List.

SeedUps allows Investors to invite 3 people that they think would like to become an Investor on SeedUps. There is no obligation to join or invest.

I have mistakenly registered the wrong account.

If you have mistakenly signed us as an Investor instead of a Startup or vice versa, don't worry. Simply go to My Profile - Edit - and select Close Account in the Account Tools section. Then simply re-register as an Investor or Startup.

My confirmation e-mail hasn't arrived

This is most likely due to your e-mail preferences; please check the junk folder of your specified e-mail address. Also, please check that you used the correct information (Ensure that the domain is correct: using hotmail.com instead of hotmail.net for example)

I cannot read the "words in the box" during the registration process.

You may need to update your browser so that it's running the latest version, and ensure javascript is enabled. Another solution may be to clear the cookies and browser cache.

I want to change my Password

If you want to change your password on SeedUps go to My Profile - Edit - and click on the Change Password option in the Account Tools section.

Although the minimum password length is 4 characters, SeedUps recommends that you choose a password of at least 6 characters, using a mix of numbers and letters. For added security it is important that you do not use the same password for SeedUps as you do for your e-mail address and other sites.

I have forgotten my Password

If you cannot sign in because you have forgotten your password, please e-mail us at support@seedups.com and we will reset your current password and send a generic password to your specified e-mail account for you to reset it. To change this password go to My Profile - Edit - and click on the Change Password option in the Account Tools section.

My e-mail address or my SeedUps account has been compromised.

If your SeedUps account or e-mail account linked to your SeedUps account has been compromised, it is important that you contact us at support@seedups.com as soon as possible.

How do I log into my SeedUps account?

To log in to your SeedUps account simply click on the Sign In link on the banner on the front page, the simply enter the e-mail address that you used to register your SeedUps account and your specified password.

I receive the "Incorrect Password" message when I try to sign in to SeedUps

Please ensure that the cap locks are off when you are entering your password. If you are still having trouble entering your password please contact us at support@seedups.com and we will reset your password.

How do I permanently delete my Seedup?

Once a Seedup is published, it cannot be deleted as if an Investor has made an offer on the business it is not good business practice to delete this opportunity. If you want to remove your Seedup after it has gone live, please e-mail support@seedups.com

Once the initial 3 month period that your Seedup is listed has expired the Opportunity SnapShot will disappear from public view and will not accessible to anyone.

How do I close my Account?

If you do not think you will use SeedUps again, and want your account closed, go to My Profile - Edit - and click on the Close Account option in the Account Tools section. You will then be asked to enter your password to confirm that you are closing the account.

Who is my information available to?

At SeedUps we realise the importance of discretion when looking for funding, and we will not make any information available publicly on our site, unless with users prior permission. Business opportunities, also known as SeedUps, will only be made available to self-certified High Net Worth individuals and sophisticated Investors. To ensure our legitimacy SeedUps reserves the right to conduct a credit check on potential Startups as part of our due diligence and we reserve the right to remove your Seedup.

General Safety tips

Do not share your password with anyone and be cautious about the information that you share with people.

I'm receiving spam questions on my Opportunity SnapShot: what can I do?

While the Question tool is an important tool for Investors to ask what they consider pertinent questions about your business, if you feel questions that are being asked as being inappropriate please report this to our Online Community Manager. Just because you feel that the question does not show your business in a flattering light may not be grounds to remove the question, as Investors will ask probing questions, but if you feel that it is personal abuse it will be investigated and dealt with.

What is considered public information?

The only content that is available to "everyone" on SeedUps is the logo, name and amount that each company is looking to raise. No other information is shared with people who have not registered as Investors.

Intellectual Property

SeedUps respects the intellectual property rights of others, and the posting of content that violates another party's intellectual property rights.

By agreeing to upload material on SeedUps the Startup confirms that they are they are the owner of the copyright. If SeedUps finds that you have posted material knowingly infringing on copyright and violating others intellectual property rights this content will be removed, and repeat offenders will have their SeedUps account deleted.
